It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Partners Research Management Internet. This internet, which was redesigned with the research community in mind, currently focuses on the administration of grants and contracts and features news and information about the Partners Research Management department. Other offices involved with the administration of research projects include Partners Clinical Research Office (PCRO), Partners Human Research Affairs, which includes Partners Human Research Committee/Institutional Review Board (IRB), Human Research Quality Improvement Program and Embryonic Stem Cell Oversight (ESCRO), Partners Research Ventures and Licensing (RVL) and Partners Compliance and Business Integrity. More information about these groups, as well as many others involved with administering research projects, can be found in the Research Support Departments section.

With reorganized navigation, new features and enhanced functionality, the redesigned intranet now provides easy access to the policies, procedures, information, forms and tools needed to prepare and submit research proposals and manage and account for grants, contracts, awards and agreements from federal, non-federal and foundation sponsors, as well as collaborators from other research entities.

Administering projects within the Partners research enterprise, which received more than $1.3 billion in FY10 research funding, is a complex and high-volume undertaking. The Partners RM department processed 10,676 proposals and administered more than 3,000 awards from nearly 2,000 different sponsors and funding agencies during 2009. 

As stewards of sponsored funds for the Partners entities, Research Management is committed to identifying and adhering to best practices in grants and contracts administration and upholding the highest standards of integrity and fiduciary responsibility. RM seeks to proactively address the administrative demands on investigators by providing exceptional customer service to our distinguished research community and collaborators in their pioneering efforts in science and medicine.

The intranet provides contact information and department assignment lists for RM department employees as well as links to other departments and groups within Partners, BWH, MGH, McLean and Spaulding that play a role in the administration of research.
