RCR Requirement for K-24 PIs

K-24 Principal Investigators are required to complete RCR training; however, in recognition of their senior status The NIH allows them greater flexibility in fulfilling the requirement than T-32 and F trainees and recipients of other K awards.

A K-24 PI can satisfy the NIH requirement by completing the full Partners RCR program, teaching a hospital-based RCR lecture or discussion, or teaching in the Partners four-hour RCR Seminar.

All hospital-based RCR-eligible courses must be approved by the hospital, and must be drawn from a list of NIH RCR-acceptable topics.

  • BWH K-24 PIs interested in teaching a RCR course should contact Allison Moriarty.
  • MGH K-24 PIs interested in teaching a RCR course should contact Mary Gervino.
